FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche was born in the small town Rocken, near Leipzig, Saxony, Prussia, on 15 October 1844. He was a German philosopher, cultural critic, composer, poet, philologist and Latin and Greek scholar. Nietzsche never married. He proposed to Lou Salome three times, but his proposal was rejected each time. In Thus Spoke Zarathustra, he proclaims that a table of values hangs above every great person. He died in Weimar, German Empire, on 25 August 1900, aged 55.
